The 5th Techfest Louisville Will Be Held This Year on Aug. 24-25 at the University of Louisville Trager Institute and The Thrive Center for Tech & Business Professionals

(Louisville, KY)—The city’s 5th Techfest Louisville, put on by the Technology Association of Louisville KY (TALK), will be held on Aug. 24-25 at the University of Louisville Trager Institute and The Thrive Center, 204 E. Market St., Suite A & B, for business and tech professionals. More than 300+ professionals will gather to learn about tech trends and participate in learning sessions in the areas of: Emerging Tech & AI; 5G & Broadband, Healthcare IT, Cryptocurrency, and Cybersecurity. This ticketed event runs from 8:30 AM to 4 PM on Aug. 24th with a cocktail hour from 4:30 to 6:30 PM; and from 9 AM to 2:30 PM on Aug. 25th.
TechFest Louisville is a biennial summit designed to bring together technology and business professionals for learning and networking. Attendees will have opportunities to explore economic development avenues for their businesses, connect with regional and national IT leaders, and learn about emerging technology. The event includes a conference with concurrent sessions, a mini-trade show, wellness breaks provided by the U of L Trager Institute, and interactive training sessions on generative AI from Render Capital, and Power BI, from Dean, Dorton. Keynotes are Sara Hines, Strategic Innovation Director at Humana, who will speak in a fireside chat session on “How Humana Uses AI & Its Potential In Your Work” on Aug. 24th at 11 AM; and Adam Anderson, Managing GP at Ansuz Capital + Entrepreneur Whisperer from Greenville, SC, speaking on “What’s Hot & What’s Not in the World of Tech Investing & Bourbon” on August 25th at 11:30 AM during lunch.
A World Café Session involving the attendees will be held on Aug. 25th from 10 AM to 11:30 AM in conjunction with the University of Louisville Trager Institute on the topic of “Human Factor Themes in Aging Care Technology Practices.” This session will include short presentations to open small group discussion and shared dialogue with attendees on attitudes and concerns in tech implementation in meeting aging care needs: attitudes towards robots; attitudes towards telehealth; dementia and technology; ethics and technology; maintaining dignity; plus privacy and safety.
Members of the TALK board will have an interactive discussion with the audience on the pros and cons of generative AI during lunch on Aug. 24th.
Attendees will hear from entrepreneurs and other civic leaders in our tech entrepreneurial ecosystem on what is happening to leverage our minority talent in our city’s economic development.
The conference will conclude on Aug. 25th with a hot topic: Jennifer C. Everett, Attorney & Partner, from Jones Day will speak to “The Winds of Data Privacy Law in State & Federal Arenas, Including KY.
